John is from the UK where he still resides. He started his early agricultural career working on local farms. In 1986 he completed his BSc in Agriculture at Seale-Hayne College and went straight on to study for his PhD in the water requirements of pigs. John taught agricultural science and pig nutrition at Bishop Burton College of Agriculture before starting his career in the UK feed industry. Between 1992 and 2006 he worked for A-One Feed Supplements Ltd as pig nutritionist and later director of operations in both UK and Denmark. In 2007 he set up his own nutrition consultancy company and worked in Europe, North America and Asia. Currently he consults to clients in Europe, Canada and South Africa. John started consulting in South Africa in 2010 and in 2022 joined Corné Botha and Samuel Wolhuter in My Feed Group. He brings more than 30 years of experience and expertise to  My Feed Group’s clients.
